CLARINEX

Clarinex is a non-drowsy treatment for seasonal allergy symptoms caused by ragweed, grass, tree pollens, and similar allergen, as well as for other allergies caused by dust mite, animal dander, mold spores, etc. Clarinex is also used for treating the ongoing itching and rash due to hives from unknown causes.

Proper Storage

Store at room temperature.

Proper Usage

Take exactly as instructed by your doctor. The usual dose is one tablet a day, with or without food. It is usually best to take your medication at the same time each day.

Side Effects

Side effects of Clarinex are uncommon and mild, and include sore throat, dry mouth, and fatigue. When using Clarinex to relieve hives symptoms, the most common side effects were headache, nausea, and fatigue.

Warnings

Clarinex can be used in patients who aside from their seasonal allergies also have mild to moderate asthma. However, Clarinex is not approved for treating asthma. Asthmatics should speak to their doctors about an appropriate treatment for asthma.

Unlike some similar medications, Clarinex is not affected by consumption of grape juice.
