Pravachol is used to lower cholesterol in patients with high cholesterol levels, help prevent heart attack in patients with high cholesterol or heart disease, and help prevent stroke in patients with heart disease.

Since Pravachol can have serious side effects, you should tell your doctor immediately about any unexplained muscle pain or weakness you experience while taking Pravachol.

Pravachol - Warnings

Pravachol cannot be used by pregnant or nursing women or by people with liver problems. Consult a doctor. If you have taken too much Pravachol, contact a doctor immediately.

Pravachol - Proper Storage

Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep safely out of the reach of children.

Pravachol - Proper Usage

Take exactly as instructed. Usual dose is 1 tablet per day.

Pravachol - Missed Dosge

If you miss a dose, and you remember it in the same day, take the dose as soon as you remember. If a day has passed, just skip the missed dose and go on with your regular dosing schedule. Taking 2 doses a day might be dangerous.
